Alliance Kids

Welcome to Alliance Kids! Our goal is to help kids come to know Christ and know Him better. We aim for this goal by providing a variety of engaging, Bible-rich ministries from birth through 5th grade. We also seek to encourage and equip parents to be active in the spiritual development of their kids. Through this partnership of church and home, we believe we can raise up the next generation of world-changing followers of Jesus!

Read below for more information about Alliance Kids ministries and how you can join the team.  For more information, contact Bill Jester at

For as long as the current health situation keeps us from meeting in person, we will be sharing weekly resources on the "Alliance Kids @ Home" page.  We hope that you can use these printed and video resources to keep the conversation going at home so we can pick back up together as soon as the situation is resolved.

This page also has some great resources on how to navigate anxiety and stress in your family through this season.

Nursery care is provided during both the 9:00 and 10:30 services.  All volunteers are fully cleared and trained to provide the best possible care for your kids while you enjoy the worship service.

Adjacent to the nursery is a nursing mom's room, with comfortable seating and a live stream of the sermon.

Pre-School | first Look

Our pre-school ministry provides a fun, loving, encouraging environment for kids aged two through five to learn about Jesus. Pre-school teaching is offered during the 10:30am Services and involves music, crafts, Bible lessons, and lots of other engaging and constructive activities.

K-5th Grade | Route 252

Route 252, our grade-school ministry, offers dynamic, Bible-based teaching to kids from Kindergarten through Fifth grade during the 10:30am Service. This ministry includes both a small group and large group component -- kids connect with a consistent adult leader in a small group of their age peers and also participate in an energetic, large group program with music, drama, and story telling. Through these two components, kids are taught a monthly virtue from the Bible then encouraged to live that virtue out in their own lives.

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. - Luke 2:52

Pre-School-6th Grade

AWANA is an international, Bible-centered youth organization that seeks to reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world.  The focus of AWANA is helping kids understand, memorize, and live out scripture by combining teaching and activities at club meetings and self-paced Bible study at home using an age specific handbook.

AWANA at State College Alliance Church meets from 6:00-7:30 on Sunday evenings from September through May. We welcome all kids from age 3 (as of September) through 6th grade including those with special needs and whether or not they attend State College Alliance Church.  The club is $25 per child for the full year to cover the cost of shirts, vests, awards, and the AWANA store, but financial assistance is available if you need it.

We also have a great volunteer team from multiple area churches and can always use more.  Fill out the form below for more info about how to join the team!
